They started the season with Avery the #1 guy and Harper the #2.  For the first three games both were pretty solid and received equal PT - one might say that Harper was looking better.  However, Harper went down with a torn ACL during the third game.  Enter Doug Martin.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Martin started the season on defense as the 2nd string nickelbacker.  He got RB reps during garbage time, but that was it.  After Harper went down he started to take a lot more reps (with the exception for a 4 game stretch when he wasn&amp;#39;t 100% and he only totaled 17 carries).  &amp;quot;Mad Doug&amp;quot; runs angry.  He rushed for over 100 yards in four games and had two 4 TD games.  Boise State fans want him to touch the ball every play.  He gets the offense rolling when they have struggled at times.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Also, Boise State has had four backs rush for over 100 yards in a game this season.
