I agree with Buffalo. I'm going to reach all the way back to the 2004 bush re-election year and tweak the phrase to saying I want "anyone but texas" to win.

BUT, i really think that point makes little to no difference in the end. We were one game away from CWS - thats an accomplishment in itself.
B/c of a number of terrible texas fans, i will not be cheering for them. i would relish in their defeat. them winning only will allow their fans to more often propose the outdated and irrelevant arguemnt (made popular by the los suprz fanbase) of "how many national championchips do you have?"

Outstanding season for the Frogs. That being said I agree with Buck that we should've gotten more respect. To end the season ranked 10th and get the 16th 1 seed is awful, but at the same time we did it to ourselves in the MWC tourney.

The Guy talking trash was fairly amusing, in fact there was one person that could be heard distinctly in almost every college game I watched all year. It's fortunate for most football viewers that section X doesn't reach the field mics.

While I generally believe in the if you're going to lose better to lose to the best I simply will not cheer for UTx, ever for any reason.

And like Wesley said, it's baseball, the Frogs aren't in, therefor I no longer care.

Congrats again to the Frogs for putting together the best season in history, lets just make next year better.

Dude, that guy talking shit on TV was hilarious... I was cracking up half the time, especially when he'd completely botch his insults. It was like he wanted to get in our heads, but in a completely PG rated way... doesn't work. He should've embraced his inner asshole UT fan and really laid into someone, especially considering his nationally televised forum... Although, I will take into consideration that maybe he was one of the few UT fans who actually attended the University and is educated, thus not able to recognize his inner Southwest Texas insecurities.

Great series, great season, but, unlike our contributors from Austin, I just can't pull for Texas. In fact, after my big glorious and inspired speech yesterday, I'm cashed out of college baseball until next year. Alert me who wins, whenever that may be.

My point is that everyone was expecting UT to sweep us that series and that we weren't supposed to make it that far, but we have a great team that was a regional host. It was two top 15 teams going at it, and I just wish that the rest of the country could have a little more confidence in our ball club. Yeah, it was a great season, but we should be at that spot every year and the whole country should expect for us to be at that spot every year. It's just up to our players to get us there when the time comes, not luck. I guarantee if UT played at our stadium this past weekend, we would've taken that series.
And no, I'm not pulling for UT, I'm actually pulling for Cal State, since we took a series from them at their home field.

Easy, Buck. I don't disagree with the fact that we've been a perinnial contender. But when we make our first ever super regional appearence against the number one team in the nation, what are the announcers supposed to say? "TCU has impressive numbers, the Longhorns don't stand a chance." Don't think so. I thought they were as unbiased as you can be given the circumstances (5-0 going into the 7th; 1 hit).

You're right about the homeruns, though. Half of the team probably did hit more homeruns than Keys. But thats like 12 people against one.

Kevin Keyes is a pussy. So he hit one HR against us. I think half of our team hit more home runs than he did all year. I hate it how everybody didn't expect us to be there and this is our dream season. Ok, yeah we've never made it to a super regional, but haven't we won the conference 6 years in a row now and we were also a regional host. I think that says we were expected to make it as far as we did. We have been a consistent postseason contender under Schloss and eventually he will take us to Omaha. Hopefully the announcers next year will give us a little more respect and not suck UT's small cock the whole year.
Congrats on a great season frogs!! Definitely represented the frogs well and hopefully we can get some revenge next year and make it to Omaha. Go Golden Eagles. Fuck Texas.

Indeed, a great season for Coach Schloss and the team. It was fun to watch them get one step closer to their goals, and it will be fun to watch them get to Omaha, which they will do sooner than later. Hopefully the momentum of support that started will continue into next season.

Congratulations to the Longhorns, too, on winning a great series. Good luck at the CWS and represent our state well!
