The Pachall Returns !

Casey Pachall Casey Pachall #4 of the TCU Horned Frogs throws against the Virginia Cavaliers at Amon G. Carter Stadium on September 22, 2012 in Fort Worth, Texas.
A vision of the past and the future?
TCU's spring semester begins on Monday, Jan. 14 and quarterback Casey Pachall is scheduled to be in class and is returning to the football team, head coach Gary Patterson said today.
"He finished all of his in-patient work and has been in out-patient work up until Friday," Patterson said. "He did everything we wanted him to do."
Pachall will be in school, and camp, competing for his old job back according to, well, everyone.

Read the entire article, once again from Mac Engel's planetoid..., err, that's to say blog.
And here is a slightly more detailed story from ESPN's David Ubben.

Thank God! Was so hoping this would happen. I'm thankful for Casey, and hope he makes the best of this second chance -- he's got a lot at stake.

And I'm happy for TCU and how they handled this.

And I'm happy for the Frog fans. Bring on the 2013 season!

Does this mean that spitblood is back too?

Good point Reed - I think everyone was just kind of taking a holiday break.

We are all still here (more or less).

Glad to see Casey back in school and back on the team. I hope Gary let's all the QB's battle it out in the spring. If Pachall earns back his teams respect and earns the starting role in practice I am all for him getting his old job back. Much respect to Boykin as well and wish him luck during the spring battles.

Great news, especially after losing Boyce to the draft.

Thats great news but hearing rumors that Maponga might leave early....

JT with my early favorite for best comment of the year.

If Pachall's got his life back on a non-drug related track, I'm excited to have him back.

In Gary we trust.

This means both a Heisman winner and Big XII Championship.

Would like to make a correction. I misread JT's comment as a tongue-in-cheek "...losing Boykin to the draft." I am very sad to now see that is says Boykin and is true. Best comment of the year nomination revoked.

Well, sorry to be the bearer of bad news... we also lost Maponga last night. But at least Verrett is staying.

Yeah, Maponga makes more sense than Boyce. I wish them both the best though.
