Frogs in the NFL - Week Six

Week Six in the NFL was another eventful one with some crazy finishes and insane comeback wins. Let's check in and see how the TCU guys in the league performed...

Marcus Cannon - OT - Patriots (lost to the Seahawks 23-24) Count me in the company of those that did NOT think Russell Wilson was going to be a good NFL QB. I'd like my crow served warm, please. Brady was sacked only once, but the Pats weren't able to generate much on the ground. Cannon and the rest of the O Line have been serviceable if not great.

Tank Carder - LB - Browns (beat the Bengals 34-24) Tank was not able to continue his one week run of tackles against Dalton and the Bengals... back to the bench for Carder.

Andy Dalton - QB - Bengals (lost to the Browns 24-34) Back to back losses for the Bengals and The Red Rifle, this time to in-state rival Cleveland. Dalton 31/46 for 381 yards and three TD's, but also threw three picks and lost a fumble. On the bright side, the Andy to AJ connection may be the most exciting and explosive in the league.

Clint Gresham - LS - Seahawks (beat the Seahawks 24-23) I continue to struggle to find things to say about the O Line and Long Snappers...

David Hawthorne - LB - Saints (bye week)

Jerry Hughes - LB - Colts (lost to the Jets 9-35) Hughes had an outstanding effort for the Colts, with eight tackles, a sack, and three QB hits on ol' Sanchize. Awesome to see him finally finding his niche in the league and performing at a high level.

Colin Jones - S - Panthers (bye week)

Jeremy Kerley - WR - Jets (beat the Colts 35-9) There was a lot of talk about Kerley stepping into the #1 receiving role for the Jets after their corp was decimated by injuries, but Jeremy only had three receptions for 24 yards last week. Of course, when your QBs combine for a whopping 12 completions, three receptions is enough to lead the team. Yikes.

Marshall Newhouse - OT - Packers (beat the Texans 42-24) Newhouse held off JJ Watt for the most part, albeit with lots of help. The Packers racked up over 400 yards of offense against the #1 D in the league, and the O Line kept Rodgers upright, allowing only two sacks.

Jason Phillips - LB - Panthers (bye week)

Herb Taylor - OT - Jacksonville (bye week)

Daryl Washington - LB - Cardinals (lost to Buffalo 16-19) What a gut punch loss by the Cardinals, who saw Jay Feely nail a 61 yard FG to tie it late in regulation, only to see him miss a potential game winning chippy as time expired. Washington went all BEASTMODE on Buffalo, to the tune of 14 tackles and 1 TFL. He has been an absolute monster in the desert.

I would love to hear your thoughts on who has the best game of the week - will Dalton get the Bengals back in the win column when Pittsburgh and Big Ben come to town in prime time? Can Tank eventually make his presence felt in Cleveland? When will Kerley get back in the end zone and will he have to throw it to himself to score?
