Spit Blood Predictions - TCU vs Grambling

FOOTBALL! NEW STADIUM! PANTS HITCHING! BUMPSTACHES! FROG HORNS!

It's been a long time coming, but it's finally time to stop talking about TCU Football and start playing TCU football. After months of speculation about how quickly we will fall on our faces in the Big 12, how our success is only because we played in the MWC, and how our QB should be on Cops - it's finally time for the Frogs and GMFP to shut up the haters and ball ball.

Grambling State isn't a marquee opponent, but this being the first game of the season and the new stadium, emotions will be high and I would expect the first few series to be rough. With five freshmen starters, mistakes are bound to happen, and Pachall might be running for his life behind a young and inexperienced offensive line.

All that being said, after an up and down start, the Frogs will pull away to win big, 42-17. Pachall goes for 300 + yards before giving way to Trevone Boykin, who gets on the field for the first time and scores his first collegiate TD on a nifty keeper run.

Our duo of three headed monsters - Tucker/James/Dean and Boyce/Carter/Brown deliver big time - Dean surprisingly leads the Frogs in rushing as he gets mop up duty and breaks a couple of big runs late. Boyce goes for over 100 yards and 2 TD's, and the LaDarius Brown era gets off to a rousing start as the WR pulls down a deep TD and lets TCU fans forget about Skye What's His Name.

On the defensive side of the ball, Stansley Maponga has a huge day, with a pair of sacks and several hurries and knockdowns. True freshman Devonte Fields makes the most of his start, with a sack and a forced fumble. The LBs old up well enough, though they allow over 100 yards on the ground, they stop Gambling from getting any major mo in the second quarter with a couple of stuffs at the line.

Most importantly, the stadium is everything we hope and more, the crowd is loud - and in the stands - for the full four quarters. TCU wins the game, Grambling wins halftime, and we all go home happy to see our boys back on the field and getting the job done!

Now it's yall's turn - Let's hear your score predictions, stats, and player of the game in the comments. Also the over under on the number of signs poking fun of Pachall we see in the stands and just ho complete the domination of the Grambling Band will be. Lastly, I would love your thoughts on how the Frog Walk will be received and how full the stands will stay if the game is a blowout in the second half.

Only thing I disagree with is all the sacks. I don't think they throw enough to make that possible.

Did anyone notice they did not put the TCU on the seats in the upper deck? Even Jones left the hole the in roof of Cowboys stadium. I wonder why. Small gripe for such a wonderful place. Maybe they will add it later.

the only thing i disagree with is the full stadium for four quarters, after the band and a 7 touchdown margin, I'm out.

Lots of players I'm interested to see play in the second half, hopefully Jordan Moore will get some decent playing time.

I want Moore to get redshirted.

49-6 final, 28-0 at the half.

I have never understood the mentality of fans that leave during blowouts? Enjoy them, revel in them, there will not be many this year. Anyone leaving early, should have their season tickets revoked and then receive 5 whacks with the Cane, ala Singapore justice, from CGMFP or Foltz, your choice! New conference, new traditions, we now stay all 4 quarters, win or lose! Bring a damn flask is you're thirsty! I'll be sitting in my shitty ass South GA seats with my wife, two daughers, and son, so come drink my Bourbon, bring the Coke, but don't leave early!

How about % of attendance in club level seats? I can picture most people socializing indoors more than watching the game.

Sure this is new and everything, but that's wishful thinking. The one game the crowd went coast to coast, SMU, was competitive the whole way through. If you think Oklahoma State or Kansas State or LSU or Florida State had even 1/3 capacity when the 4th quarter of those blow outs rolled around, you're dreaming.
