I think we've all seen this coming for a while, but still got a bit of a lump in my throat when I heard yesterday that LaDainian Tomlinson decided to officially retire after an 11-year NFL career that saw him win two rushing titles and an MVP, reach five Pro Bowls and score more touchdowns than anyone in league history not named Jerry Rice or Emmitt Smith.
One thing we do know about LT's future is that he'll be inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame five years from now, the first time he's eligible. But how else will the guy every Frog fan will always remember as #5 fill his time now that his playing days are behind him? He seems perfectly suited to join any of the common pursuits of former pro stars like coaching, broadcasting or even something in show business. He's also always been quite philanthropic, so maybe he'll throw the bulk of his efforts at charity work.
What do you think? What's next for LT?
