Daily Discussion: What's next for LT?

I think we've all seen this coming for a while, but still got a bit of a lump in my throat when I heard yesterday that LaDainian Tomlinson decided to officially retire after an 11-year NFL career that saw him win two rushing titles and an MVP, reach five Pro Bowls and score more touchdowns than anyone in league history not named Jerry Rice or Emmitt Smith.

One thing we do know about LT's future is that he'll be inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame five years from now, the first time he's eligible.  But how else will the guy every Frog fan will always remember as #5 fill his time now that his playing days are behind him?  He seems perfectly suited to join any of the common pursuits of former pro stars like coaching, broadcasting or even something in show business.  He's also always been quite philanthropic, so maybe he'll throw the bulk of his efforts at charity work.

What do you think?  What's next for LT?

Would be thrilled if he could be the RB coach or even a part time instructor for the Frogs. The more out famous NFL alumni are around the program the better. Especially for recruiting.

My money is on some sort of nfl tv gig. He's well respected and personable enough that he'd be a good fit on one of those pre game shows, although that's not what I want him to do. Come be around our program.

LT is living proof as to why you don't play your college ball in Waco! He needs to assist in the Frogs Texas recruiting of running backs for sure.

Doesn't he have a house in Fort Worth?

His mother lives in the DFW area... I saw a special not to long ago about her HOA trying to seize her house for some outlandish fine they put on her and she didn't end up paying it.
