Frogs looking for revenge tonight

The picture you see above is the Patriots of Dallas Baptist dog-piling on the field at Lupton Stadium after they won last year's Fort Worth Regional. If that alone weren't motivation enough for TCU heading into tonight's home game against DBU, the fact that the Patriots swept the Frogs 3-0 last year and have won four straight in the series dating back to 2009 should.

Weather permitting (and it's not looking so swell right now), tonight's pitching match up will be a battle of true freshmen, pitting TCU's Jerrick Suiter against Jay Calhoun of Dallas Baptist. Suiter looked good in his first career start a week ago at UT-Arlington after he got through a rough first inning, and will be looking to further establish himself as a reliable starting option for Schlossnagle. No word on if he'll bat for himself tonight. Calhoun has an ERA of 3.97 in 11 appearances so far this year, and will be making his second start.

Offensively, the Patriots are batting .278 as a team and have four regulars hitting over .300. They can hit for power, too, having already hit 18 home runs this year- led by junior outfielder Boomer Collins, who has 5 himself. By comparison, the Frogs have hit 7 all year.
