Big Recruiting Weekend

It's fitting that GP & staff played the part of recruiting pick-pocket this weekend, victimizing the team whose mascot looks like the Hamburglar. Former Texas Tech commit Jon Lewis, a 6'2" 265lb defensive tackle from Klein Oak, has now pledged to play for TCU.

So what could top getting a commitment from a 3-star defensive tackle? How about getting a commitment from a 4-star defensive tackle! Chuck Hunter, a highly-touted 6'1" 294lb tackle from West Monroe, Louisiana, also gave his word to Patterson this weekend that he'll be a Horned Frog.

We'll still be highlighting Hunter & Lewis in our Meet the Future Frogs series, but that'll have to wait until their turn comes up. Defensive tackle was a major area of need for this class, so it's nice to see it taken care of emphatically like this. There's a good chance there could be some more recruiting news to come out of the weekend, so keep coming back to spitbloodtcu.com for all of the latest.
