What Tom said...

Oh Tom Petty... from Don't Back Down to Waitin' is the Hardest Part... you are like the TCU Football Team Soundtrack.

Yeah, so TCU won and Houston lost. But dumb ol' Iowa State is as useless as ever and the idiot Longhorns are pathetic. Looks like our BCS fate is in the hands of Michigan State and maybe even LSU beating the crap out of Georgia. That and some hopefully friendly voters. And so we wait...

Still love reading the boards where people seem to thing Boise St is gonna get a BCS bid...

Oh, and not to make this about me or anything, but I missed the game today because the wife and I drove down to Temple to meet the young lady who will be giving birth next month to the baby that we are going to adopt. So, I'm waitin' too...

This season is ridiculous. We're going to make it. Congrats to you RA and God bless.

Clemson is currently #20, and they are up 31-10 in the 3rd quarter over #5 Va Tech.

Last thing we need is someone like Clemson jumping over us.

SwissArmyFrog said...

OU is getting CRUSHED by OSU, and if it holds, OU could well fall down into the 20's.

Rotten Arsenal said...

Man... effing Clemson... if they win, you know their gonna work it so the ACC gets 2 slots.

I was thinking that if the whole BCS thing worked out this weekend that I should name my new baby "Sugar"... but a) I've been drinking in celebration and b) Mrs. Rotten wouldn't stand for it.

With OU losing, wouldn't that also hurt Baylor in the computers?

SwissArmyFrog said...

Not likely to the point they would drop after beating Texas.

I think our best hopes may rely on OU slipping behind us after their crushing defeat, along with Georgia (now #14) after their big loss to LSU) and Michigan State MAYBE (that's a BIG maybe)dropping a bit from their current #13 spot.

Not counting on MSU dropping behind us, but OU and Georgia have good prospects.

I believe that Houston, Georgia, and Michigan State will fall behind us... Its going to be extremely close tho.

Reed said...

we really needed wisconsin to lose, damn that #9 for running into the punter, what an idiot

SwissArmyFrog said...

I couldn't believe he ran into the punter!

Might...Houston fall below us? Doubtful - that would be a BIG drop, but they did get well taken care of. I can't say I think they'll go below 16, but stranger things have happened.

If they do, they'll have done us TWO favors!

Congrats on the human puppy

Well at least TCU & CGP did what we needed to do, and if it's meant to be it's meant to be.

Congrats on the baby!

TCU #16 in the AP, and #15 (ahead of Baylor!?) in the USA Today polls.

Kev Nolan said...

we were ahead of baylor last week in the coaches poll too.

good news:
houston, georgia and oklahoma have ALL fallen behind us in both human polls!

bad news: clemson jumped us in both polls, and you can never put it past the people in charge to tweak something so that we end up 17 somehow.

i have a good feeling about #16 tho, cant wait for the selection show. im getting hammered

Those rankings make me even more nervous.

Brad Edwards, the "bcs expert" at espn, has Boise going to the Sugah Bowl...From my understanding that cannot happen since Boise is our bitch in the MWC...Am i right??

FrogHorn07 said...

Boise can be chosen as an at-large. Are they an auto-pick if they are top-6?

Slay Purple said...

Boise doesn't HAVE to be choosen, but could still get an at-large. Where as TCU getting in the top 16 would dictate that we are required to be in a BCS bowl.

I won't be pissed if we don't get the Sugar Bowl, because I don't know if we have "deserved" it with loses to BU & SMU. But, there is no denying that our team has come a pretty long way in the past 6 games. I would definitely like our chances against Michigan in the Sugar Bowl.

These next 4 hours are going to feel like 4 days...

Rotten Arsenal said...

I still think that if TCU doesn't get it, there will be no "Buster" this year. They'll find plenty of ways to fill 10 slots with multiple teams from the AQs (except the Big Least).
SEC: LSU & Bama
PAC: Stanford & Oregon
ACC: Clemson & VTech
Big10: Wisconsin & Michigan State
Big12: OkieSt & Kansas St
and West Virginia.

That's 11 and one of Kansas St, Michigan St, VTech, or Stanford has to get dumped. You can't tell me that the BCS would make an unpopular decision (select Boise St) that benefits a non-aq.

Hell, Arkansas probably deserves an at-large bid over almost everybody anyway.

Poinsettia Bowl. No one to blame but ourselves b/c of the SMU loss.

FML - absolute fucking vomit! Fuck you, MWC! Fuck you, BC$!

Congrats guys - San Diego Shit Bowl for the 80th fucking time against La Tech. I hope half the team just goes Barrett Robbins and fucks off in Tijuana all week.

Only positive - GP will have serious motivation to fist fuck the Big 12 opponents next year.

See you hookers in Miama - January 7, 2014.

My bad - 2013. Rage took over!

Reed said...

i dont understand why we couldnt play in shreveport

Texas Hammer said...

@Brian B. - clearly wouldn't have even been a question if we'd gone 11-1 but I think the smu loss was a wakeup call to the team.

Va Tech!?!?!?!?

I'm already sick of the Poinsettia fucking Bowl. TCU should at least be going to Shreveport.

Thank you, BCS, for ruining fucking football.
