Spit Blood Predictions: TCU vs. UNLV

One last time during the 2011 football regular season, it's time for you all to register your official predictions. I feel like I don't really need to explain the process any more, so here's what we're looking for today:

-The final score:
--A) if Houston wins
--B) if Houston loses and suddenly BCS style points are needed

-Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams MVPs

-Which senior gets the loudest ovation during the Senior Day festivities?

-What is the crowd reaction when Ross Evans' name is called during said ceremony?

-The final score of the TCU-Evansville men's basketball game tomorrow night

48-7 frogs.

Evans gets booed and then misses the Extra point attempt.

Offense- Boyce
Defense- Kenny Cain
ST- Evans's replacement.

Loudest ovation goes to Evans, and it's a steady loud parade of boos. Or Tank.

-The final score:
--A) if Houston wins: TCU 40-0
--B) if Houston loses and suddenly BCS style points are needed: TCU: 53-0

O: Pachall
D: Carter and Cuba (seniors have good games)
ST: somebody blocks a punt

Loudest for Carter

Evans gets the normal clapping (there are some completely classless jerks that have the balls to boo, but they are drowned out)
-Hoops: TCU by 2 (after they blow a 16 point lead)

49-13 Frogs.

Southern Miss makes it interesting through 2 1/2 quarters and forces frog fans to start drooling. UofH wakes up and takes it 37-20.

Offensive- Pachall (310 passing, 3 TD's, 1 rushing)
Defensive- Tank (1 pick, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble)
ST- same

loudest ovation-Tank
Evans' ovation-crickets or boos...I can't decide which would be more insulting

TCU 45-21 if Houston wins.
TCU 48-14 if Houston loses.

Offense - Hicks.
Defense - Johnson & Johnson.
Special - James breaks a long kickoff.

Loudest for Tank.
Evans gets polite applause.

Houston wins - 41-10
Houston loses - 55-10

loudest ovation for Carter. Evans walks out with his folks, trips, falls, hurts himself and his mom.

o: sleeve
d: carter
st: evan's understudy.

Houston win: Frogs, 41-13
Houston loss: Frogs, 51-7

Offense: Waymon James 100+

Defense: Maponga 2 sacks and of course a forced fumble

Special Teams: Kelton's last punt ever at Amon G. Carter bounces out of bounds at the 3-yard line

Loudest ovation: Tank Carder, with a "d"

Coach Christian and the Basketball Frogs pull off another close one, 71-68. 6-2 heading into the Tech game next Tuesday.

Offense: Wesley
Defense: Tank
ST: Burks or someone else blocks a punt.

Evans hopefully gets mild cheers. Never cool to boo your own player, even if he's a screwup. That kind of classless behavior is best left to the folks in Maroon or Burnt Orange.

Score if UH wins: TCU 45-13
If UH loses: 45-13.
I don't see CGP running it up on anyone.

Let's try to get off of the "Let's burn Evans at the stake mentality" (ok, its not quite that bad). How would you feel if it was your son who had a tough year.

The arrest was odd, but we don't know yet if he was being a thug or got hacked off and tried to get a friend's property back.

He's done a lot for TCU football, overall.

shortnkerley's said...

Wow. The Evans apologists are out today. He has not done a lot for TCU football overall. That's silly. He will not be missed at all. I don't care if it's senior day. He was a disaster. You'd all be singing a different tune right now if he'd blown the Boise game bc he cant kick, and then you found out he was arrested that week. Luckily he was bailed out by a worse kicker. Good riddance.

Swiss Army get real. he kicked in someones door the night before they left for boise, for a cell phone, in DENTON?!?! WTF? Then missed a PAT and kicked the most important kickoff of the year out of bounds. He is an average college kicker who choked against baylor 11 and Utah 08 and his sorry ass attitude prevents most of us from forgiving him.

Vegas Bombs - A Little

Houston loses to USM

Everything falls into place for Sugar Bowl

Reed, my point is that people might try thinking of him as a person, rather than someone whose sole purpose is to fulfill their own personal desires. Yeah, he frustrated me too in Utah in 2008 (and this year more than once), but we didn't have better, did we, or he would not have been out there (make no mistake, I wish we did have better, but that's not Evan's fault). If he had blown Boise, I would be VERY disappointed, but I wouldn't be making childish comments on a web board...over a guy who is struggling.

Rip a guy to shreds because he's not the football player someone wants him to be? And this started WELL before the Denton Door Kicking :^)

Apologist? Not really. Over his years here I remember him being pretty good most of the time. Not his fault we didn't have a better kicker, though, is it?

Reed said...

Good points and I believe he's an average kicker who has scored us a lot of points. I also do not blame him for either one of those losses.

Simply, I have never liked his attitude. Losers can still be loved.

Fair play, Reed.

I'll admit here and now that I know little to nothing of his attitude. If he's got a bad attitude (meaning, teammates don't like him, etc...), sounds like he needs a good wake-up call. I hope he gets one that straightens him up.

Frogs win by 5 TDs

O: Boyce breaks 1,000 yards for the season
D: Cuba leads team in tackles
S: Ed takes a punt to the house

Evans: should get normal applause (just like Bama's/Boise's kickers will get when they graduate)

Houston: gets to go to the sugar bowl without playing a ranked team the entire season...

Tank & Shivers get the most applause

This is a sports, mainly football, blog. I will judge people as athletes, not as people. I can do that. I'm a man. I'm 40. Come after me.

so what happens if UH loses, and we dont get to 16?

SwissArmyFrog said...

Touchdown So. Miss!

21-14 to the...I forgot what they are...oh, the Golden Eagles! :^)

I don't care why they are, just win, baby!

SwissArmyFrog said...

Reed, if Houston wins, we're out of the BCS, period. Our rank won't matter anymore.

Reed said...

so what happens if UH LOSES, and we DONT get to 16?

SwissArmyFrog said...

Reed (my brother's name is Reed), then we're out. That top 16 ranking was the other "have to happen" item. Houston losing was the first.

I'm currently switching back and forth between TCU and the Baylor vs Texas game - gotta root for Texas, as the Bears are ranked 1 spot ahead of us...
