A request to our readers

We've got a homework assignment for our readers. The Gary Patterson Radio Show is on the air tonight at 6:00pm, live from the Railhead. Sir Wesley and I are headed to a concert of a certain indie band from Boise State's corner of the country, so we won't be able to listen.

If a few of you could head up to the Railhead or at least listen (on 92.1 FM, 88.7 FM or online) and fill the comments section of this post with a report of anything newsworthy said by GP, Blaize Foltz or anyone else on the air, that'd be swell.

Pop Quiz: Who were Modest Mouse's mentors? The answer is Built to Spill, of Boise. Built to Spill, as awesome as they are, are actually potatoes who play potatoes in a potato field while 1000's of potatoes party along.

You learn something new every day. And for that, we ought to open up another can of loud-mouth malted high-fives.

They did not play trailer trash, buff, much to the chargrin of one lyle lanley. They did fire off a pretty rousing version of Cowboy Dan to make up for it, though.
