The what if game.

What if UT didn't start the LHN? What if aTm didn't leave? What if we had offers on the table from 2 conferences? Now I'm not trying to start rumors or anything, but this other person that talked to me earlier did. So, heard some things about the SEC calling TCU last week just to ask some questions, don't really know, just supposedly called. Then got some email today that was written by some UT person. Now just roll with this, and it's probably not true, but who would we be not to share the information with our readers. Started off about how UT fans are pissed about the invite, but it is a good move for the conference. You see, UT had always had DFW and TCU was always just a backup plan and no other big conferences had any interest. But with the last decade of success, TCU has opened those doors up and the SEC might try to get into DFW. This has been pushed by a couple of team in the west (supposedly Arkansas and LSU) and there were rumors of a couple of SEC officials in Fort Worth a couple of weeks ago meeting with some upper TCU management. This would be a huge recruiting boost for the teams in the West division as it would cut into one of the most fertile recruiting grounds in the nation and boost their already huge presence in East Texas. Everyone is expecting the acceptance, so why hasn't it been accepted? Yeah, I know it takes some time, but really just think what if? , what if there was interest being thrown at us from the SEC? What if the invitation was a panic move by the Big 12? Do I sound like an SMU fan yet? These are some big what ifs, but seriously, What If?

yeah, it makes sense, which is why it aint gonna happen. although, if you were to ask me whether i thought mizzou would be a possible 14th in the sec, i would have spit in your face. i just think we're too small to be considered, honestly. someone...please, please prove me wrong.

Be happy with the Big 12. Natural fit.

does the big 12 money mean we can spend even more on the east side renovations??

i'm extremely happy with the big 12, i'm just saying, what if? do you take Big 12 or SEC? i would love to play old rivals, but do you look at longterm stability or do you feel strongly enough that the big 12 will survive. rivalries and traveling out of the picture. But don't kid yourself Shorts, two weeks ago you would have rather seen TCU in the SEC. either way I would be extremely happy, tough decision though, IF it had to be made.

if there was an option, it wouldn't be a decision. sec. period. plus...

i concur with hiphop, i think we need 7-10k more seats. love it. double decker visitor side for all the students. BAM.

We don't need more seats, I want to be able to sell my tickets when I can't make a game.

Also, why would we be rumored to go to the SEC when SMU has the invite locked up?

I always though the SEC was the place to go. I hate the Big 12-10. And y'all can drive to Baton Rouge and Fayetteville just fine.

I'm still holding out hope.

Al Davis is dead.

Y'all are silly. SEC would be a nightmare.

And Viking- al Davis has been dead for 10 years; they're just now announcing it as a motivational boost for their season since things look positive

I am a huge homer for TCU (believed we would go undefeated again this year) & even I can say that we would most likely end up as the Baylor of the SEC. I am more than happy getting to play OU, OSU, UT, etc every year & we still get a home-and-home with LSU in 2013/2014.

also. i cannot express how happy i am with the spitblood twitter stuff. please keep that up.

don't think all of those 8000 students would show up to games. It's hard to put students in the stands when the TCU quidditch team is playing also. Seems like we could fill in the gaps in the south end zone and possibly just add more seats to the renovation. bet the donors are willing to give up some more money if needed to get the deal done.

Well, we should be pretty well set for at least 2nd place in the MWC this year... we've already beaten the only other teams that aren't laughable failures at the foosball.
That said, we'll probably beat Boise and lose to New Mexico and UNLV
