“Think I got his attention”

If there's anything we all needed after such a kick-to-the-groin weekend, it was something to take our minds off of football for a while. I know some of you hate good television and would rather just watch whatever crap your girlfriend/wife wants to watch, but we definitely got a few
solid hours of non-football entertainment last night. Dexter started a new season with Dex attending his hilarious high school reunion, the sharks continue to circle around Nucky on Boardwalk Empire and the debut of Homeland certainly made it seem like that show might live up to the hype.

I'm not going to turn this into a TV blog all of a sudden, but we are still going to have to talk about Breaking Bad as it nears the end of its fourth season. Because I'm sure there are some of you out there that recorded it and will watch tonight, I won't give away anything here. But I don't think it will be giving anything away to say that shit is definitely going down in next week's season finale.

What did you think about last night's episode? How do you think things will end up in the season finale? Forget about football for a bit and fill up the comments section with your thoughts.

As a cop I thought it was strange making a series around making meth but I LOVE the show! I thought I heard this was the end of the series but now hearing just the end of the season, which is it?! Is Walt going to start working for the DEA? Is Skyler going to work for the IRS? Will Hank ever get out of that chair?! I loved the line line "What, minerals?"

Next week is the end of Season 4. The series will end at the conclusion of Season 5, which will air next summer.

I have been under the assumption that Gus will die at the end of this season for a while now. But I had this thought last night- this entire series has been horrible, awful decisions made by Walt to save his own ass. What if Uncle Hank makes a breakthrough in his investigation of Gus and Walt is forced to choose between getting caught or killing his brother in law???

Also...who do you think poisoned the kid?

The kid poisoning thing is kind of baffling to me. It could be walt, but I don't know when. Gus is always a suspect for that, but walt could be playing Jesse.

Walt is def playing Jessie and I am positive he poisoned the kid. Just NOT with Ricin. Remember Walt told us that Ricin is slow acting and the kid got sick right away. I think Walt had an epiphany when spinning the gun and looking at that plant and hatched this crazy plan. He then got Saul in on it and had Huell swap the cig packs during the patdown so Jesse THINKS it is Ricin because his is missing. Not sure where they go from here but a couple thoughts:

-Hank is SURELY on to Walt but not sure he can do anything about it because Walt paid for all his medical bills with drug money.
-Jessie tipped his hand to Gus by mentioning that the kid got poisoned. Dumb move.
-I think Walt got some bad news about his cancer coming back (when he had that awkward conversation with the new cancer patient) and we just don't know about it yet.
-This show is about Walt "breaking bad" and becoming scarface so I think we are gonna start to see him make some uncomfortable deciscions in the next episode.
-The DEA higher ups are in bed with Gus.

My theory:
-Gus dies
-Jessie finds out that Walt poisoned the kid and watched Jane die then turns on him.
-Hank makes it known to Walt that he knows and either turns on him or joins forces.
