SMU blown out, OU loses in Norman, Badgers lose on a Hail Mary, Boise State has weaknesses... good football weekend.

Nice day for David Hawthorne... got some revenge on McCoy. Leading tackler with 8 and sacked McCoy once and also intercepted him.

did the crowd make it past the 1st quarter?

The crowd made it to halftime... after that it was dead.

I have never understood leaving when your team is enjoying a blowout? Man, they just don't happen often enough, so relish the good time!

I was embarrassed. My Dad came up for the game, this was the first game I'd been able to get to this season, and he commented several times about how empty it got, and that it's going to look REAL bad when we get into the Big 12 and half our stadium is filled with burnt orange when the horns come to town.

It should just be a mandate that the lots are to be closed until after the game. This is ridiculous.

We won't be up like 41-0 at halftime in many big 12 games....

Come on guys, if we're going to replace a&m we need a 12th man.

I was there the entire time. I really think this staying through the entire game thing won't be an issue next year when we have home games that are good and we have an amazing finished product (hopefully) of a stadium.

If UT/LSU/any decent school was playing home games against Portland State, Louisiana Monroe, New Mexico, etc. do you think they would have a packed stadium for the duration of the game?

While I don't encourage skipping the game, once we have good competitive home games (i.e., next year) there will be no attendance issues.

Well LSU fans will stick around for just about anything...they dont have anything else to live for but LSU football

There will be no attendance issue next year. This week we played the WORST team in college football, they are actually ranked the worst on the ESPN bottom 10 rankings. I wouldnt compare this to how it will be next year when we play OU, Okie Light, or even the bottom of the Big 12 in KU or Iowa St...this (and the Portland St., Monroe etc) games are completely different.

That's why I think it's so ignorant for folks to want to make the stadium bigger than the current plans. I don't think we'll necessarily see a Tech situation where it's easily 1:1 if not worse, but man, no guarantees we put 40+ of our own in there evne with a better sched.
