Welcome to Hate Week

It's pretty fitting that Hate Week kicks off tonight with the Cowboys and Redskins on Monday Night Football. I'm glad that ESPN is getting in on the fun, even if Dallas/Washington was their third choice after three hours of footage of people with too many items checking out in the express lane at the grocery store and repeatedly showing people saying they "could care less" instead of "couldn't." I also fully expect at least one more surprising twist in the whole conference realignment saga this week, just to make sure everyone's blood is boiling by the time the Frogs and Mustangs kick off on Saturday afternoon.

Of course, we really don't need any extra incentive to get the hate coursing through our veins. This is SMU, after all. What do I hate about SMU? I hate that outsiders always lump TCU and SMU together. Sure, there are some similarities. SMU is a lot like TCU...only with way more drugs, way more pretension, less non-cheating football success and way more white-collar criminals on campus during parent's weekend.

We'll be hating on SMU all week here on Spit Blood, but if you see anyting out there on the internetz that makes the Mustangs look stupid or pathetic or if you just want to remind us that CRAIG JAMES KILLED 5 HOOKERS AT SMU- email it to us:

Happy hating, and try to keep it clean. Although since we don't have any rules, I guess do whatever you want. Go Frogs.

Hate Week is the most wonderful time of the year.

Who knew that Craig James killed five hookers while he was at SMU?

Hate Week is my favorite time of the year (unless the Rangers make it back to the World Series. Then it's a toss-up).

Can't wait to read the posts.
