TCU 55, Portland State 13

Just a few stray observations from yesterday's win over Portland State:

-Waymon James is good at football.

-The defense is improving, but continues to start slow. Could it be that they're playing to the level of the competition?

-Our crowd sucks. I understand that day games in September suck, and that it's harder to get excited about an FCS opponent- but those are excuses. The Frogs deserve better support than they're getting. Period.

-Ross Evans made all of his kicks, and did well on kickoffs too.

As someone who might be the harshest of Ross critics, I give him an exuberant two thumbs up for yesterday's performance. Great job, kid! Keep that up and we'll (almost) completely forget about all the ridiculousness in your career.

Meanwhile, Kelton WTF was that?!!?

I cannot describe the despair I felt with 5 minutes left in the 2nd quarter...

I was following the score on my phone since I was at work again. I was a little concerned at first with the Defense, but that game got a lot better pretty quick. Shame to hear about the fans AGAIN.

And as the second biggest Ross hater after Rotten Arsenal, I'm very pleased with how he did yesterday. I hope he is consistently that good all season. I think that's all we want, just some consistency. I don't like having to say as many Hail Mary's as I can every time he lines up for a kick. It's very stressful.

The west side of the stadium should be ashamed of themselves. So should anyone who bitches about people standing.

you know, our fan base is rich, spoiled and small...cant do much about that. but yeah after half time the entire side was gone...sux for them they missed some fun action

has no one realized that Ross Evans is now the leading scorer in MWC history?? obviously this is a result of our program's success combined with his longevity, but that is something to be proud of, right...

There are FOUR (4) quarters in football. Not 2 or 3. FOUR! Which means for 4 quarters fans better be on their feet in the stands. I was ashamed for my family to witness what a pathetic fan base we have. Congrats fans, y'all deserve the team that played the 1st quarter.

On a good note I'm happy about Carder finally making something happen.

TCU fans are sad. I say that because I am one and hate seeing fans leave at halftime. In a lot of elite programs, it's considered UNACCEPTABLE to leave at halftime to tailgate. You support your team from beginning to end... PERIOD. C'mon, TCU fans... quite being fairweather. I hate sitting in section V across from where I used to sit, and see the seats so empty... :-(

i was in the north endzone, and damn. it was hot. i think the larger home side has resulted in even less breeze getting in, if that was possible. yeah, the fans left. they shouldn't have. but they're all pretty old anyways, so i wouldn't expect them to stay too long unless it was really close.

as for yelling at people standing...i almost punched an 80 year old dude that told me that several years ago. it makes my blood boil thinking about it. but yes. go to the game. but it was hot. summary. end.

also, don't get tickets in the north endzone if you can avoid it, can't see the new big screen and don't have the shade like south endzone has, even if it was just a little.

Sorry guys. Ross proved nothing on Saturday. Until he can make a FG when it matters I am a hater.

Baby steps, dallasfrog, baby steps. I mean, he had trouble against ULM and those weren't really high pressure kicks.

There's an awful lot of pissing and moaning around here about fickle fans, Ross Evans and how much Dallas sucks. Way more than there used to be. Surely there are other stories to spend time on around this team full of new players. Just my two cents...

A dude behind me in V called a guy standing near me a pussy because he wouldn't sit down. It was very confusing and kind of summed up our entire fanbase.
