Sunday Night Leftovers: 9/4/11

TCU Soccer

The Lady Frogs fared much better on their Friday Night Roadtrip than did our most high profile team. Playing at Texas State, the Frogs fell behind early 1-0 but battled back and got goals from Junior Elise Kensinger, Seniors Kaylie Garcia and Kristen Halverson.

Today's game didn't go so well. The Frogs played very well and but just couldn't get the ball in the net. Missouri managed to take advantage of a couple of the few mistakes by the Frogs and put in a goal each half to win 2-0.

TCU Volleyball

Another weekend, another tournament, another sweep by the VolleyFrogs. Friday night saw the Frogs take down the hosts of the SMU Doubletree Invitational 3-1. On Saturday, the Frogs took down Alabama 3-1 and Lamar 3-0. They've now started the season a perfect 6-0.

TCU Cross Country

The Men's and Women's teams participated in the UNT Metroplex Opener on Thursday. The Men's team won the overall 6k placing 5 runners in the Top 6. Junior Daniel Ludwig finished first and was the only runner to finish under 20 minutes (19:45). The other teams were from UNT and Dallas Baptist.
The Women finished second overall in their 4K, placing 4 runners in the top 10. Junior Agnes Kemboi came in second overall. Other teams were SMU (1st), Texas Wesleyen, UNT, and Dallas Baptist.

TCU Men's Golf

The first day of the 2-day Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate Tournament (Verona, NY) is complete and the Frogs sit in 5th place (-4) in the team standings. Freshman Julien Brun (-7) is tied for first in individual standings.
