Conference Realignment Drama

We finally know that Texas A&M will indeed be jumping to the SEC next year, although I'm still not sure why it took so long for it to become official. But that slow-cooking rumor turning real has only given the rumor mill new life, as "journalists" and other gossip-mongers around the country continue to churn out hypotheticals. Let's take a look at the latest, but fair warning: take these all with a grain of salt.

Pickens favors adding TCU to Big 12 -Time Griffin of the San Antonio Express-News

Top 5 candidates for Big 12 expansion are BYU, West Virginia, Louisville, Cincinnati & South Florida -Some dude named Greg Swaim from something call "Big Time Sports"

The Big 12's four candidates are BYU, West Virginia, Louisville & Boise State -John Wilner of the San Jose Mercury-News

unfuckingbelievable. if they take bush league boise and the sister wives over regionally correct TCU i will wash my hands of NCAA forever.

The NCAA isn't doing any of this.

Fear of an "overly Texas conference"?! Umm, last I checked A&M left, which means the Big 12 would still have the same amount of Texas schools as they did originally if they added TCU. Makes no damn sense.

the big time sports article is so full of incorrect grammar and "this is going to happen" that i now think the opposite of what he said. does the big 12 want BYU? maybe. will they jump at the chance to get in? i don't know. but neither does he. stfu, bloggers.

fact. he has no idea what is going on and made up all of that.

Whatever happens SMU still sucks and we're all stuck with Craig James for the foreseeable future. So unless some conference can promise a Craig-free football season does it really matter...

TCU is NEVER going to be in the Big 12-9-8.

TCU is going to play for two years in the Big East until Syracuse and Pitt go to the ACC and there is more realignment.

Even then, TCU will not be joining the Big 12. It's NEVER going to happen. Ever.
