I believe that tattoo amongst all the other tattoos on his bicep says "faith". Maybe we should have faith in Casey...
While these rumors definitely have the delusional Baylor bloggers abuzz*, as does everything else GP says and does (coach envy), this may be exactly GP's intentions. Not so much to get their idiot fan base rumbling, but to throw their coaches a bit of a wrinkle and give them even more to think about. We all know GP is a master of the mind games, but what do the spitblood readers think about this whole situation? Is it 1) Matt Brown is really showing promise and pushing Casey for the starting job, 2) lack of trust of Casey under center/attempt to light a fire under his ass, 3) just general misinformation, or 4) GP throwing the mind-F down Waco way to stir the pot (my personal belief)? Also, if anyone has any other wacky conspiracy theories for what is going on with our current QB situation, feel free to put that in the comments section as well. Personally, I think this is a good development. A couple of weeks ago we were in a panic about not having a viable backup, and now apparently one is pushing the other for a starting job. Not a bad situation.
*Normally a link would be attached with this comment, but I refuse to drive traffic to irrelevant Baylor sites.

Shampoo.
Jedi mind tricks...
Did he just come from one of Pinkman's parties?...
Casey looks like he's going to the Gathering of the Juggalos.
In the Spring game, they weren't even in the same stratosphere. I know GP said that Brown has shown improvement, but until the practices were closed, all of the reports were saying that Casey was lights out, and Brown was a clear #2. Now all of this changes with Brown taking snaps with the #1 offense for 3 days. Not buying it.
"Hey Trevone, go get me a Faygo"
Take this for what it's worth... I have good sources from the Women's Soccer team (hold on, I'll explain) that Matt has already been named the starter for Baylor.
Casey is dating one of the Lady Frog's goalkeepers so there is a real link there.
Now, would I bet money that we won't see "Inky" Pachall behind center on our first drive of the season? Hell no. I still believe Casey is the man and that anything you hear out of Pattersonland is internal motivation and/or external misdirection.
Never trust the spoken words of a woman, especially when they are speaking about sports.
I take offense to that, shortnkerley's.
this type of information(rumor) should not be spread on such a well respected site like SB, we are the no. 6 ranked tcu blog, and our readers deserve better.
Ahhh, my bad nurse frog. You've proven yourselfto be a knowledgeable sports fan. It was meant mainly in jest, but in this particular instance, I'm calling bs from the women's soccer team.
Personally I wouldn't mind having Matt Brown start, thinking towards the future. If we're breaking in a new QB and they're neck and neck, why not have the younger one start? e.g. Rooster/Marcus Jackson
Rumors make the internet fun!
Trevone Boykin has already told everybody in Mesquite that he's passed Brown. Paschall is obviously the most advanced right now but next year Boykin will push to start. He's the most talented QB we've seen at TCU in a long time. Great kid and a ridiculous talent.
Passed Brown already? Hmm, I guess GP didn't know that. Not quite sure I'd proclaim him the most talented QB yet, either. Glad we have him, but can we please pump the brakes a bit?
