GP on Houston radio

Gary Patterson was interviewed by John Granato and Johnny Harris of 1560 The Game in Houston yesterday, and talked about a number of different topics: Casey Pachall taking over for Andy Dalton, Johnny Fobbs taking over for TJ Johnson, the offensive line, the running backs, and of course the upcoming game against Baylor. You can listen to the entire interview by clicking HERE.

Just a fair warning, if you're looking for something more than general coachspeak, that interview is not for you. If you like to hear people go out on a limb, though, this guy might be what you're looking for:

Umm, how do I start picking that thing apart? First, dont make your gambling prediction about a Baylor/TCU game when his backdrop is Baylor's stadium unless he's trying to show a bias there. Second, Josh Gordon is gone. Get up to speed, bud. And he thinks we will be LUCKY to average 30 and we will give up 20 per game? Clearly this guy doesn't watch much TCU football. What a dipshit. Nice lisp.

Where to begin with this yahoo: Great facts -- "RG3 was not 100% last year" -- No sh*t, maybe the TCU defense had something to do with that. "This is not the same TCU team as last year, they wear the same jerseys..." Check your facts, Nike has re-done TCU's jerseys again. "TCU DEF will up more than 20 points to Baylor" I know random youTube video diatribes do not constitute bulletin board, but has Bumpas seen this!

Our financial woes are over folks. Empty your money markets, your 401K, your children's 529 accounts, and take out a second(or maybe third for some of you) mortgage and bet it all on Baylor! Who knew a Gary Patterson defense would suddenly just disappear? Not even the same team he says. Wow, what a prophet! Even with Baylor playing a home game, and it being the first game of the season for both teams does not change the fact that I still think TCU wins. As GP says, winning by one point is all that matters. Frankly, we all will take that one point this year until we know what we have. I don't expect perfection this year, but something tells me the talking heads are really underrating the Frogs this year.

Also, if Baylor's offense got so much "better" as the year went on, why did they get obliterated in their last 4 games?

For the love of all things purple, I lost brain cells watching this goober. Clearly he missed TCU's entire 2010 season. And has he EVER seen Baylor football, EVER?! If Baylor has that many guys returning wouldn't you assume they'd suck just as much as last year? Just for that I hope we shut 'em out.

Oh my, I really try to be objective but this guy know anything about our Defense? Sure we lost a few guys but we should actually be better. Are you kidding me? We have Mapoonga, Tank, and Carder, Broughton, McCoy all back. Plus a lot of guys stepping in that have plenty of playing time.

Top defense in the country three years running and still people try to blame their team's lack of offensive production on it being early in the season and they hadn't hit their stride or it was late in the season and guys were banged up, etc...never ceases to amuse me. Better question, why, when this guy is claiming our gang-stomping of RGIII and Co. was because it was only the third game and they hadn't got going yet, does he think that will magically translate into an offensive onslaught in week 1?

All you need to know about this guy and how valuable his "analysis" is happens at the 1:32 mark where he discusses "Robert Griffin, Jr."
