Bengals pick Dalton in 2nd Round

As expected, the Cincinnati Bengals selected Andy Dalton with the 35th overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. With it looking like the Carson Palmer era of Bengals football is coming to a close, Dalton could have a chance to start as a rookie this fall...if there is an NFL season this fall.

ESPN ranked us #1 in producing NFL talent? Maybe for non-BCS schools..?

He said "browns organization" in his interview with espn. oops.

The ESPN ranking is based on this article...

http://insider.espn.go.com/ncf/blog?name=feldman_bruce&id=6202096&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fncf%2fblog%3fname%3dfeldman_bruce%26id%3d6202096

And maybe he meant the Brown family that owns the Bengals and not the Cleveland Browns?

I love this pick. Growing up a Bengals fan (yeah I know its weird but my dads from Ohio), I have had to see criminals and draft busts (see Smith, Akili) turn this program from Super Bowl contenders into a laughing stock. Bringing Dalton in gives us exactly what we need: a talented QB thats a leader with a good head on his shoulders. He will have the chance to make an immediate impact and I know the rooster won't disappoint. With A.J. Green coming in and with Chad Johnson-Ocho Cinco-Johnson and T.O. on their way out the door I have high hopes for the team. No if only we could draft new owners...

"Who dey! Who dey! Who dey think gonna beat dem Bengals?" (the Saints stole that from us, but they're from New Orleans so what do you expect"

Hate to admit it, but Jordan Shipley will be Wes Welker and Dalton with thrive off the Welker, Green, Gresham trio.

I hope they pick up Kerley. That would be sick. From the sounds of it and the way Gruden has talked, Dalton will most likely be the starter in week 1. Being that expectations aren't too high in cincy, I would say it's good that he will be inserted as the starter this early. Probably won't have a great rookie year, but look how it ended up for him after starting as a freshman at TCU. It's pretty amazing to watch an NFL team start to build their program around a former TCU QB. Never thought I would see the day.

And Cannon just went Rd 5, Pick 138 to the Patriots. He dropped, but good for Marcus. Good luck.
