Spring practice announced

Last year's spring game. Picture courtesy Angry Trey's blog

The Frogs will hit the field for spring practice in just under three weeks, according to this release from GoFrogs. Practice is set to begin on March 5th with the spring game set for April 2nd. Practice will wrap up with a final practice April 8th.

No mention of where the spring game will be played, but from what I have heard it will not be at Amon G. While spring games never live up to the hype this year should be particularly interesting from a fan perspective with all the open starting spots.

I've heard from two sources it will be at Bearcat Stadium in Aledo

I don't know if that's a recruiting ploy to get close to Jonathan Gray and expose him to our program, but if it is then I love it. Let's go play at Aledo.

It seems like Farrington Field would make more sense. But if it's at Aledo:

1) How do you get to Aledo?

2) Can you tailgate at Aledo?

No way they move it to BFE Aledo

I heard it was going to be at SMU. Just to show them that we own their field even in the off season.

That would suck if it's in Aledo. Too far of a drive after a long day of drinking. I guess we could always get a spitblood Partybus? But, I could see how playing at Aledo would be very beneficial.

Was that serious about Aledo? I thought it was a joke. I thought he was kidding. I even wrote it down in my diary 'the finch had a very funny joke today'. If so, I apologize for my sarcastic response.

SpitBlood party bus to Aledo, I like it. Can it be followed by Coconut Pete day?
