Like June, July was a busy month for the TCU coaching staff as they received commitments from four new Horned Frogs. Less than a week after Travoskey Garrett was the first of July, offensive lineman Brady Foltz of Rose Hill, Kansas became the second and the 14th overall for the 2011 class.
Foltz, who looks like a guard at the next level, stands 6'4" and already weights 290lbs. As a senior, he helped lead the Rockets to a 7-3 record and was named to the Class 4A All-State team. Rivals has him listed as the #41 guard in the country and the #10 overall player in the state of Kansas. ESPN had this to say about him:
"This guy is a tough customer; his aggressive finishing attitude is what we look for when evaluating offensive linemen."
Sounds good to me! And if the name sounds a bit familiar, it is because Brady is the younger brother of current TCU guard Blaize Foltz. I didn't mention this first because, as a younger brother, I'm a bit sensitive about always being identified as someone's sibling. The elder Foltz has had an impressive career so far at TCU, despite being injured this past fall, so I doubt Brady minds that comparison too much.
One more thing I want to know...is where can I get one of these T-shirts?
