Drew Hankin, FSU fan for life, must have missed the part in Sir Wesley's Know Thy Enemy post where he clearly states: "and if any Florida State fans are reading, understand that I like to take things and run with them, but it's all in good fun".
So, for your enjoyment, I give you Drew's response to Sir's post:
Couple points.. Nowhere ever in the history of the Animals (FSU's hardcore fans) has the story you wrote (made up?) about O Canada ever been uttered. It has nothing whatsoever to do with FSU playing a Canadian team, a team with a Canadian player, or anything even remotely close to that.
For the real story, watch this:
It's a bit underwhelming, but hey.. it's a fun tradition. (btw, Texas Tech's Tech Hecklers were modeled after The Animals, who have been around since 1977)
Second, Jenn Sterger attended USF for her first two years of college prior to transferring to FSU. Her parents are long-time season ticket holders and she still obviously has some love for the home-town school. No bandwagon, no turning her back on FSU. Nothing of the sort.
I could go on and on about the cheating scandal having virtually nothing to do with Bobby Bowden or his retirement, but what's the point? He's gone (thank goodness) from the university and many fans are thankful of that.
Thank you Drew, I can now sleep better at night. May the best team win tomorrow.

The above ad appeared in the the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Dallas Morning News, Austin American Statesman, Houston Chronicle, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, USA Today and the Omaha World Herald today. It's similar to the ad published around the country prior to our BCS trip and again I think they did a great job with it.
On another note, Baseball America has a great podcast breaking down Omaha. Be prepared for some TCU lovin.

Since Soccer is a communist sport and our team sucks (Really? Tie with Slovenia), I'm going to try and divert all attention back to college football and shit that matters. This is a pretty great story from fanhouse that throws quite a few jabs at our neighbors to the south. Sure did bring a big smile to my face.

While my allegiance never waivers from all things purple, I'd like to take a moment to remind the Horned Frog faithful of our (the USA) impending victory over Slovenia. I Wiki-ed this so called country, and I gotta say, it made me a little nervous. Any place that's been around since the 7th century, endured countless invasions, political coups, two world wars, and has still come out on top can be unnerving. That's why I take solace in this picture.
