They've got TCU hosting a Regional with quite the Southwest Conference flavor to it. Along with the Horned Frogs, they see the Fort Worth Regional also including #2 seed Rice, #3 seed A&M and #4 seed Centenary. Since all three of the visiting schools are within an easy drive of Fort Worth (Centenary is in Shreveport), that would make for some packed crowds at Lupton...and some very competetive baseball.
If the Frogs were to advance past that first weekend, they would be matched up with the winner of the Regional hosted by #6 national seed South Carolina. Also projected in the Columbia Regional are #2 seed College of Charleston, #3 seed Louisiana-Lafayette and #4 seed Minnesota. If anyone but the Gamecocks emerged from that Regional, the Frogs would win the right to host the Super Regional.
Other TCU opponents in the projected field include New Mexico as a #2 and Tech as a #3 in Tempe, Cal State Fullerton hosting a Regional, Texas State as a #3 in Austin and OU as a #2 in Fayetteville.
