New Banner

Thanks to Crazy D, we have our 2nd generation baseball banner. Sorry for those of you who loved drooling over the Lupton Burger on the old banner. If we are going to make it to Omaha, we need to step it up on every level, including this here 2 bit blog, run by a bunch of PUNK kids with trust funds.

TCU & UT still on collision course

As I assume they'll do every Tuesday until the NCAA announces it's field of 64, SEBaseball.com has released a revised NCAA Tournament Projection today, but little has changed in regards to the Horned Frogs. They've still got TCU as a #1 seed and hosting a regional, which they project will include Wright State (who was also in the FW Regional a year ago), Rice and Louisiana-Lafayette.

Then they've still got the Fort Worth Regional winner set to take on the Austin Regional winner in the Supers- taking on the Longhorns in Austin would be Jackson State, New Mexico (who beat the 'Horns 2 out of 3 in Austin earlier this year) and Texas State.

Other TCU opponents projected to make the field are Texas Tech as a #2 seed in Tempe, Cal State Fullerton as a #1 and A&M as a #3 seed in Fullerton and OU as a #2 in Oxford.

Frogs add a huge O-lineman

Just days after the Frogs added #8 to their 2011 recruiting class, today they've added #9 with the commitment of Midland Christian offensive tackle Bobby Thompson, who is 6'7" and between 280-285lbs, depending on the source. The list of schools that have also offered him is premium content on another TCU-related site, so I can't list them all here- but there are quite a few Big 12 schools on there.
