Newest Regional Projections

As the regular season draws near it's conclusion, the NCAA Tournament field is starting to take shape. There isn't a whole lot of difference- at least where TCU is concerned- from last week in this week's NCAA Regional Projections from Southeastern Baseball.

They've still got the Frogs as a #1 seed and host for the second consecutive year- they have the Fort Worth Regional also including #2 seed Rice, #3 seed Texas Tech and #4 seed Oral Roberts. That would mean a packed stadium for nearly every game, but also a tough road for the home team.

Should TCU get past that first weekend, they would be matched up against the winner of the Austin Regional, which is being hosted by Texas, who is the #2 overall seed in the entire tournament. Filling out that regional are #2 seed Oregon, #3 seed Texas State and #4 seed Southern. A potential TCU/UT rematch in the Super Regionals would be played in Austin, but if any of those other teams got past the 'Horns, then the Frogs would be the hosts of the Super.

Hard regional fo sho, but we've beat tetch every time we've played them this year (4-0) and beat Oral Roberts in a mid-week game early in the season.

Lost to Rice (5-4) in H-Town but think we're due to break 'ol man Graham's hip in FW.

Our best hope is that some of the SEC teams in front of us falter allowing the Frogs to become a national seed and not have to go through Austin to get to Omaha.

yea, the horns look good right now. i would love to beat them in austin and ruin their road to omaha.

for those who were there last year, their baseball fans are the absolute worst.

And they have gay little softball chants.

I second that, Buff...Texas fans are just assholes in general. I'd like nothing more than to beat those PUNKS! down in Austin.
