While the attention of many Frog fans will be focused on the spring game at Amon G. Carter this weekend, the baseball team has a very important road series against their former SWC and CUSA rivals Houston. Freshman Matt Purke takes the hill for TCU tonight at 6:30pm, followed by sophomore Kyle Winkler tomorrow evening also at 6:30 and then junior Steven Maxwell on Sunday at 1:00pm.
And while the shoulder injury sustained by Tank Carder is probably causing a lot of uneasiness in Frogland, the baseball team is dealing with a key injury of their own. Aaron Fitt of Baseball America tweeted that sophomore shortstop Taylor Featherston injured his knee Tuesday night against OU. He apparently has had an MRI, but there has been no official word yet on how much time (if any) he might miss.
Oh, and one more note for those of you Houston-dwelling Frog fans...U of H sells beer at their baseball games. Point, Buffalo.
