Good for you, Channel 11

This isn't directly TCU-related, since the Frogs are sitting at home for a 12th consecutive NCAA Tournament, but I think it's worth noting since the local college sports programs have always been largely ignored by the local media.

KTVT, Channel 11, the CBS affiliate for Dallas-Fort Worth, was faced with a scheduling dilemma when the brackets were released- at 1:40pm on Thursday, they would have to choose between Baylor vs. Sam Houston State or UNT vs. Kansas State. Baylor, being a member of both the dominant conference in the region and a threat to make a deep run in the tournament, seemed like the obvious choice, right? I mean, whenever the local TV & radio stations, the Morning News or even the Star-Telegram are faced with the choice of covering local teams or the 'almighty' Big 12, they generally side with the Big 12, right?

But Channel 11 made the right choice and decided to support the local Mean Green, and Spitblood adamantly approves. If they did so just to force the awkwardness of Baylor fans going to bars to watch their game, even better.

Adding to the Big 12 whining...Channel 11 won't be carrying the aggy game on Friday afternoon, either!

Agreed. I'll have plenty of time to watch Baylor, since they're going to the Elite 8 this year. FYI - they lose to Duke.
