Great article from Richard Durrett of ESPNDallas.com:Growing Pains Taught QB How to Lead
It's pretty exciting that ESPN's Game Day will be in Fort Worth this weekend, but 11:00am will not be the end of the live broadcasts from TCU's campus. Of course, the game itself is on CBS College Sports, but they will also be airing their pregame show LIVE from inside Amon G. Carter Stadium starting at 6:00pm, and will also air their usual Saturday night wrap-up show, Inside College Football Live, from the stadium immediately after the game. So don't throw away your signs when Game Day is done!
ESPN is giving fans the chance to voice their opinion on who ought to win the Heisman Trophy this year, and every TCU fan's favorite red-haired signal-caller is one of their 12 finalists. You can vote here as many times as you want. He's in 9th place out of 12 right now, so get voting!
Last year, Utah's road to the Mountain West title and the Sugar Bowl were paved with the arm of 5th-year senior Quarterback Brian Johnson, who led the Utes on that infamous last-minute touchdown drive to beat the Frogs in Salt Lake City.
"Let's just get the obvious part out of the way first -- Texas A&M, what on earth is going on with you?
The young Aggies continued their recent stretch of on-again, off-again play with a very off-again performance against Colorado, probably the worst or second-to-worst team in the Big 12. Several other teams stuck to their losing ways, as Rice (allllmmooossstttt!) and UNT both tumbled yet again. But on the rise has to be SMU, which is now at six wins and (truthfully) just one more win away from locking up a bowl bid. Baylor could be doing something similar, as its stunning upset of Missouri has the look of a turning point in this frustrating season.
And then, at the top, we of course have our consistent trio of contenders -- Texas, TCU and Houston, in the very order they've spent so much of the season occupying. Though the Frogs managed to wrest away one first-place vote from the rolling 'Horns, Texas still has the majority of our voters convinced. But if we did a Heisman power poll? Don't think you'd see Colt there -- that one looks like it would go to Case Keenum and his electrifying Coogs."
