Striking Back at Richard Justice

In case you haven't read the Houston Chronicle's Richard Justice completely fail to back up his point when he said that 10-0 TCU is not equal to 10-0 Texas, there is the link for you to read what HE GETS PAID TO DO.

A newspaper columnist being an idiot is nothing new. But I guess that he got tired of the fact that he makes his living covering the teams of one of the most irrelevant sports cities in America, so he decided to take a shot at the little guy. The pen may be mightier, Richard, but it can't draw any more hair on your head.

Certainly there's got to be someone crafty enough out there among the purple & white to hammer out a proper dissection of Justice's shoddy excuse for professional journalism, right? While I would love to have been the one to do it, I was beaten to it by Sean Pendergast, who is an alum of Notre Dame of all places:

Game Time: In Defense of TCU, An Open Letter to The Chron's Richard Justice.

I was just about to put this thing up here. This is a great article and a must read for all. Justice is nothing more than a UT Homer who loves to kick the little guy when they are up and put them back in their place. If you reallly want to get upset at this king of all douche bags then check out this little quote from an article last year

"Utah? Are you kidding me? Utah beat an overrated Alabama team, a mediocre TCU team and a bunch of schools you couldn't find on a map. Weber State? Really? Utah beat Weber State? That's nice, but don't get in this debate. If Utah played a stretch of games like Texas played, Utah would be blown off the field at least three times.

You can't dislike the Longhorns. You can try, but you can't do it. They're what Texas is all about. Pride and courage and resolve. Yes, there's talent, too. Don't underestimate that part of it."

This guy is our new number one target and I wish him the worst.

Here are also two of his 'tweets' (strike two, twitter is for pro athletes which you are not, and bald high school hero fags)

# TCU should be very proud at the completion of its 60-year rebuilding program. Sometimes the impossible takes a little longer. Nice job. 1 day ago

# Uncle! Uncle! TCU fans are letting me have it. Finally relevant after 70 years, and they intend to be heard. But they're not as good as Tex. 1 day ago

Are y'all listening to this clown?? I can't wait to hear his bullshit argument about the orange horns.

LENEtown Fizzle said...

Should we send him that picture of hughes putting his sack on him

SkeezerFrog said...

This man is eating his own words on live radio. He's got nothin. Time to let the hate flow.

UT beat 1 ranked opponent. Lil ole TCU has beaten 3.

Fuck off Justice!

he kinda looks like Kevin Beekin

This guy is a "No talent ass clown" what a UT Homer.

Dude, we should totally get Richard justice's home address and send a lynch mob. Or even better, we could tied him to a chair and force him to watch Michael crabtree ruin it's precious little season last year over and over again. Sean pendergrast: I don't think anyone could have said it better. Well done sir. You just elevated notre dame alum over ut alum in my mind.

VikingFrog said...

The sad thing is I bet he would like Jerry Hughes to do that to him.

He kind of has that twinkle in his eye.

Dick is the biggest homer i've ever listened to on radio. It is a wonder how this dildo even got a job expressing his opinions in the first place. His arguments are elementary at best, and the only come back he has to anything good for TCU is UT has a better over all body of work. UT is more deserving because they sell more t-shirts? Who gives a shit.

I bet this guy would bend over backwards for a round of double teams by Vince and Colt.

What a joke.

Read this article by the Houston Press. It is by his co-anchor on his radio show and it goes line for line and just rips his article apart. I could not have said it better then Mr.Pendergast

buffalo said...

uh really, the houston press article is what this whole post is about.

shortnkerley's said...

Kansasfrog probably got really low scores on reading comprehension tests during his youth.

THEFINCH said...

how is houston anymore irrelevant as a sports city than dallas??

I am said writer, and radio host. I believe every word of what I wrote, otherwise I would not have written it. Hopefully, nobody took you up on your $50 bet. Take the compliments I paid to your program for what they are -- a well reasoned argument that Texas should stop acting like it's their birthright to be ahead of you. I'm not sure if you listen to my show, but I have no love (nor malice, for that matter) for the Horns, and I'm not someone with an agenda. I do have a disdain for illogical arguments and the espousal of a "well Texas is Texas and they're better just because" point of view. Hopefully, that came through in the blog.

But to address your specualtion, yes I actually believe something that I spent 2,000 words and 2 hours of typing conveying. Not a ratings ploy.

He spent 2 hours writing that? Its not even written well. Do they have a call in segment on his show? I suggest we call in every day to harass him and ask him to explain his poor excuse for journalism.

shortnkerley's said...

It looks to me like buffalo emailed Sean aka the good guy frog supporter. Just thinking that since the end of that response says "Sean" and not "Richard".

Mr. Bubbakins said...

Why did I have to read that before I tried to go to sleep?

buffalo said...

i didnt email him, but came across his response to someone else who did on the world wide web

spoiledguineabrat said...

great photo!! you guys don't disappoint.

KansasFrog said...

For the record I did not score low on my reading comprehension test as a kid. Although it was because I am from Kansas and you do not have to know how to comprehend what you are reading to pick wheat and chuck corn.

KansasFrog said...

Excuse me, shuck corn. Further proof I guess.

Phrynosoma said...

Everybody knows the most relevant sports city is San Antonio... go Spurs!

CounselorFrog said...

Jesus, are you trying to get the hate flowing like raging rapids? Just keep up the Spurs talk.

Phrynosoma said...

Well I guess that wasn't fair. Houston can share some of the glory too. Rings = Relevance.

Sir Wesley Willis said...

as lyle would usually toss in here... "excuse me while I go polish my five Lombardi Trophies"... and even a Stanley Cup if you want to get all cutesie.

CounselorFrog said...

Dont forget the Ray Miron President's Cup (Fort Worth Fire - 1997 Champions)

Lyle Lanley said...

That line wasn't meant to spark a Houston/Dallas thing, but now that you ask "how is houston anymore irrelevant as a sports city than dallas??"...I guess I owe you an answer.

Take all of the sports entities from Dallas and from Houston. Alright, out of all of those, which are truly relevant on a national scale? Just the Cowboys.

THEFINCH said...

i was just sticking up for my birthplace, and don't really have a counter, except to discredit your "relevant" team. no playoff wins in 13 years deserves relevancy??

Phrynosoma said...

Haha I'm messing with you. I'm a SA town kid so we have to like the Spurs...not many other options. It doesn't hurt that in recent years they've been pretty bad A.
