Arrieta to take on China

Former TCU All-American and current Orioles' farmhand righty Jake Arrieta will be the starting pitcher for Team USA as they take on host-country China at the Olympics Monday morning at 7:00am Texas time.

Team USA is 2-2 at the Games, having dropped games to Cuba and Korea and having beaten The Netherlands and America Junior (Canada). They really need to win 2 of their remaining 3 games (China, Taiwan and Japan) to assure themselves a spot in the medalling tournament.

New Student Union Taking Shape

For those of you that are not aware, the student union building from our days at TCU no longer exists- it was demolished a few weeks ago. That means your days of stealing candy from Frog Bytes are officially over. The new student union, which opens the first week of September, is nearly complete.

The TCU Magazine recently posted a photo gallery of the new building on their website, and they are pretty impressive. I will definitely be taking a drunken, self-guided tour of this thing sometime on the afternoon of September 6th before the Frogs demolish Stephen F.
