Miller and Coors closed on a deal yesterday afternoon to combine their US operations. Basically they're perusing a joint venture for marketing and distribution in the US and Puerto Rico in effort to rival Bud, who currently represents about half of the market.
As far as Fort Worth goes, it will have no immediate impact. The FW brewery will continue brewing Miller as usual, though it may begin also brewing Coors at some point.
I guess that adds a new twist to the Miller Lite/Coors Light debate, because come on no one really drinks bud light. Let me rephrase that, no one in Fort Worth drinks bud light, I can't find a Miller any where in DC.
