Arrieta to take on China

Former TCU All-American and current Orioles' farmhand righty Jake Arrieta will be the starting pitcher for Team USA as they take on host-country China at the Olympics Monday morning at 7:00am Texas time.

Team USA is 2-2 at the Games, having dropped games to Cuba and Korea and having beaten The Netherlands and America Junior (Canada). They really need to win 2 of their remaining 3 games (China, Taiwan and Japan) to assure themselves a spot in the medalling tournament.

in 6 innings he only gave up 2 hits, no runs. Great outing. One of our players trucked the Chinese catcher in the bottom of the 5th to score a run. This infuriated the Chinese coach and he almost got kicked out for yelling at the ump.
